Manchester Central College is an independent private college, based in the heart of Manchester, offering a friendly and stimulating learning environment with quality teaching and competitive prices. The college is a short walk away from all local amenities and can be found a short distance away from 3 of the major railway stations, the coach station and the bus station. There are also numerous places to park if you wish to drive to the college.
Manchester Central College is surrounded by a multitude of cultural and multicultural organisations and businesses providing a variety of services and entertainments to the local population. The Palace theatre, the Arndale Centre, China Town and the Central Library, to name just a few of the facilities, are all within walking distance of the college.
Manchester Central College has been in Operation since September 2003 and in that time has broadened its educational remit to include not only English but also Business Administration, Information Technology, Business Information Systems, Travel and Tourism, and also Accounting. Over this time we have had a range of experienced, committed and qualified teachers providing our courses leading us to external accreditation. Some of our teachers have worked all over the world including, China, Greece, Spain and Portugal. We currently hold ABE accreditation and hope to gain British Council accreditation winter 2007.
Manchester Central College has students from across the world including the following countries; China, Japan, Thailand, Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Brazil, Peru, Libya to name just a few. Our students are usually full time students studying for at least 15 contact hours per week, and 5 hours personal study time, which is the minimum amount required to satisfy visa requirements. Those students not dependent on fulfilling immigration requirements may study for less contact hours per week
