Blackburn College is one of the largest employers in Blackburn with Darwen. We have a long history of excellent education and training, serving over 20,000 students of all ages, backgrounds, abilities and interests. We attract students from many miles away and work closely with employers locally and nationally, helping the economy to thrive and grow.

We have a thriving Sixth Form Centre and provide a wide range of degree, HND and professional qualifications at our East Lancashire Institute of Higher Education. Our reputation for Vocational Further Education courses is excellent and we provide work-based, day release and short training courses for employers to develop the skills and potential of their staff.

Blackburn College facilities are amongst the best in the country and include:

• Facilitated access to most areas of Blackburn College (and our other sites),

  following a programme of work which has included the addition of ramps, lifts

  and accessible doors. We are continuing to improve facilities and  provide
